Wake Up
Awoken by the flapping of the wind against the tapped plastic of a window shattered by memories of belligerence. The scent of stale cigarettes and citric ash lingers thick in the barren space. I ruminate over the pungency. The feeling is neither putrid nor defiled. It looms to illuminate the passing.
?
Where should I go from here? Of this I am unsure. I’ll continue to float in the meaningless haze through the boxes of vulgarities.
WRONG
I’ve done wrong again. No initiative taken. Strangled by my own small hands. It was only a matter of time. I am aware of my self-fulfilling prophecy. No need to struggle against it. No need to embrace it. I’ll live in between. In the limbo marked by indifference and insanity. The weather won’t change it. It is set in stone.
It's our Time Paris
I graze the sullen sidewalks in the brisk winter morning. My hands finger tips are bitter but I keep them exposed to feel the warmth of the cup and the pure Parisian air. My heart pounds between every cobblestone crack. My blood is thick and my cheeks are flushed. I know so many before me have danced the romance, have drunk the wine, but now, Paris, it is our time.

There’s something to be said for clothiers like Brooks Brothers, L.L. Bean and the like.
Many of their core looks have remained very similar throughout their existence. ’Heavy Tweed’ looks back at many of those styles, and features so many New England/Americana classics.

A Time of Absence
Through the thick cold air circulating the city,
I hear the soft remains of a sunken symphony.
Strange dreams peril my sleep.
Too familiar.
I am awoken
By the knocking of a conscious state.
I have the distinct feeling that I am led far astray
From the drowning confines.

Yesterday it dawned on me that I may have become unreliable. An unreliable narrator whom one should never trust, an unreliable friend, an unreliable person. It is purely unintentional. I have to deal with the ways of New York and this is what has happened. I’m angered by the fact that I have to communicate with flakey people or people that do work in an unconventional manner. I react,...
I feel very romantic today. I don’t know if it is the rain or the city, or my recent experiences. It’s like the rain washed a sense of hopefulness upon me.

Cannes '09: The Winners... →
I’m really looking forward to seeing The White Ribbon. Haneke is a notoriously brilliant filmmaker…Funny Games, Cache, The Piano Teacher.
Also looking forward to seeing Antichrist despite the mixed reviews and supposedly unbearable scenes of genital mutilation? Lars Von Trier has established himself as a prominent auteur even though he is pretty god damn arrogant.
Getting older and having these new realizations is really strange. I don’t know why I felt these former obligations to friendships. It’s a sad thing to be unable to relate to people on any level however minute. I’m just in a different place. I’m not bitter toward these endings. It is mere progression.
Homogeneity
I hate it.
indieWire's Lars Von Trier vs. Spencer Pratt
At the press conference for his insane Cannes sensation Antichrist, Lars von Trier’s tremendous boasts (coupled with his sheer delight in playing the bad boy) reminded us of one very unlikely person: The Hills villain Spencer Pratt. Both men seemingly love to be hated, and each is willing to push his image past the realm of self-parody in the name of promoting his art. We decided to compare the...

Psychosomatic Thoughts
Lymelife
Starring Rory Culkin, Kieran Culkin, Alec Baldwin, Jill Hennessy, Emma Roberts, Cynthia Nixon and Timothy Hutton. Directed by Derick Martini.
On the surface Lymelife appears to be another film setting out to exploit the American Dream. However, the film deliberately mentions the paradigm, but surrounds itself more with the characters and their relationships.
The film is really...
